Full Arch Implants in West Bloomfield, MI

An entire arch of missing or failing teeth replaced with a fixed set of teeth carried by a small number of implants, not by your gums.

Full Mouth Dental Implants for a Complete New Smile

Full arch treatment replaces all of the teeth on the top, the bottom, or both, using a small number of implants to carry a fixed set of teeth. Because the teeth are anchored to bone rather than resting on gum tissue, they do not move, click, or need adhesive.

This is the option most patients mean when they ask about full mouth dental implants in MI. Your dentist plans, places, and restores these cases in our office, so the whole rebuild stays under one roof from the first appointment to the last.

Who We Help

Is This Right for You?

If most of an arch is failing or already gone, this is the conversation worth having. Nothing is decided before imaging.

  • Most or all of the teeth in one arch are missing or failing
  • Your denture slips, clicks, or has stopped fitting
  • You are tired of adhesive and of avoiding foods you like
  • You have been told your remaining teeth cannot be saved
  • You want teeth that stay in permanently rather than coming out at night

Your Treatment

From Assessment to Your Final Set

  1. Full Assessment

Your dentist evaluates your remaining teeth, bone volume, gum health, and bite, and lays out the full plan, timeline, and cost before anything starts.

  2. Placement Day

Any teeth that cannot be saved are removed and the implants are placed in the same appointment, so you are not left waiting between the two.

  3. Your Temporary Teeth

You leave with a fixed temporary set while the implants integrate with the bone over the following months. You are never without teeth.

  4. The Final Set

Once healing is complete we fit your finished teeth, refine the shape and shade, and balance the bite so chewing feels natural again.

After Your Treatment

Full Arch Implants Aftercare and Recovery

Recovery varies from person to person. This is what most patients can expect, and your dentist goes through your own instructions with you before you leave.

The First 24 Hours
This is a longer appointment than a single implant, so plan to rest for the remainder of the day with your head raised. Light oozing is normal and settles with gentle gauze pressure. If a temporary bridge was fitted the same day, leave it alone and do not test how firm it feels.
What to Eat and What to Avoid
A soft diet is not a suggestion here, it is what protects the result while the implants integrate, and it usually applies for several weeks rather than several days. Avoid anything hard, crusty, or chewy, and cut softer foods small rather than biting into them with the front teeth. Your dentist will tell you when it is safe to widen your diet.
Swelling and Discomfort (Edema)
Swelling after full arch treatment is more pronounced than after a single implant and usually peaks around the second or third day before easing through the first week. Bruising across the cheeks, jaw, and sometimes the neck can follow, and it is not a sign of a problem. Your dentist will go over what to take before you leave.
How Long Healing and Integration Take
The first week or two covers most of the swelling and soft tissue healing, while the implants underneath continue integrating with bone for several months. The final fixed teeth are made once that has happened, so the temporary bridge is doing a real job in the meantime. Where the plan also addresses the opposite arch, timing is staged and we map it out with you, sometimes as part of a full mouth reconstruction.
When to Call the Office
Call our office if the temporary bridge loosens, chips, or breaks, since it protects the implants underneath it. Call if discomfort increases rather than eases after the first few days, if swelling grows after about day three, or if bleeding restarts and will not settle. A fever, or a persistent bad taste around any site, is a reason to be seen rather than to wait.

Placed and Restored in One Office

We place and restore implants in our own office, including bone grafting and sinus lift procedures when the jaw needs preparing first. It is common for a practice to send the surgical half elsewhere and handle only the final crown. Here every stage happens in one place, with one set of records and one team who already know your case.

New patients are usually seen within the same week.

Common Questions

Full Arch Implants Questions

How many implants does a full arch need?

Usually four to six per arch, depending on your bone and your bite. Your dentist confirms the number after evaluating your jaw, not before.

Will I have teeth the same day?

In most cases yes. You leave placement day with a fixed temporary set, and the final teeth are made once the implants have fully integrated.

Are full arch implants better than dentures?

They are fixed rather than removable, they do not cover the roof of your mouth, and they preserve jawbone. Dentures remain a valid choice when implants are not practical.

Are same day dental implants real?

The teeth are real and you do leave with them. What is not accurate is the impression that treatment finishes that day. Implants have to fuse with bone before they can carry full chewing force, and that healing takes months no matter who places them. So what same day honestly means is that the implants go in and a fixed temporary set goes on top in one appointment, and the final teeth are made once the implants have integrated. You are never without teeth in between, which is the part that actually matters to patients.

How do I clean full arch implant teeth?

Differently from natural teeth and differently from a denture. The teeth are fixed, so they do not come out at night, and the surface that needs cleaning is underneath the bridge where it meets the gum. A water flosser along that line, an interdental brush, and ordinary brushing cover it for most patients. We show you on your own set once it is fitted and check underneath at every visit, because the tissue around the implants is what determines how long the whole thing lasts.

What if I have been wearing a denture for years?

Long term denture wear thins the bone underneath, but grafting can often rebuild enough to place implants. Your dentist will tell you honestly what is possible after imaging.

How do patients pay for full arch implants?

Most combine whatever their plan contributes with financing through CareCredit or Cherry. We review your benefits, walk you through the full plan, and give you the cost before you decide on anything. The quickest way to get a real answer for your own case is a short conversation. Call us at (248) 863-9109 or book online.
